We Thank Thee...

Gordon B. Hinckley, the president and prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away last night shortly after 7 p.m., in his apartment in Salt Lake, surrounded by his family. He was 97 years old.
As I heard this news I didn't feel sad as I expected to...I was filled with a sense of peace - knowing that he lived a life full of service and love for the Savior. I pictured him being welcomed home into the arms of his loving wife and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I will miss his loving words, his sweet sense of humor, and the tireless example he provided for members and non-members alike.
"His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
Matthew 25:21

Cinnamon Rolls from Heaven

I found this awesome cinnamon roll recipe while perusing through my SIL Heidi's family's blogs. Her SIL Janae got the recipe from her SIL Dominoe and she got it it from a blog called Dandelion Mama. I've never made cinnamon rolls before and since I got my kitchen cleaned yesterday I thought "why not!" My sister Gina was planning on visiting that day so I called and said why don't you make a day of it and we'll make cinnamon rolls together?! We got started around 11:00 and finished about 4:00. They have to be THE best cinnamon rolls I have ever tasted. (could be the pound of butter the recipe calls for). You've gotta give them a try!

Just makes your mouth water... doesn't it...

Frosty the Snowman...

It snowed all day yesterday so in the late afternoon the kids and I went out in the backyard and made a snowman...They named him "Frosty" (how's that for original) ;-) I thought they looked super cute in their mismatched snowsuits....
